Discussion Forum

The Metro St. Louis Seniors Golf Association has set up a
Discussion Forum for its members.  It can be reached at http:
//GolfSTLSeniors.freeforums.org.  Although the organization we are
going through is named FreeForums.org, the forums are free only if
each month and have the ads removed, as they are not appropriate.

The purpose of the Discussion Forum is to facilitate communication
among members of our Association.  Here is an opportunity for you
to provide input on the topics important to our Association - and
receive feedback from others regarding your ideas.  Keep all
comments constructive!!  The Forum management reserves the right
to edit or delete any posts to the Forum that they determine
offensive.  People making the offending posts can be warned,
suspended or banned from the Forum - at management's discretion.  
Again, make this communication process a positive experience.

If you are unfamiliar with making posts on forums, we will provide
instructions here to get you started.  Each forum is a little different,
and ours is somewhat complicated in the beginning to ensure only
our Association members use this forum.

  1. Enter http://GolfSTLSeniors.freeforums.org in your browser, or click
    on this link.
  2. You will get a page with Welcome to the Metro St. Louis Seniors Golf
    Association members forum.
  3. Look for the Login or Register links.
  4. Your 1st time in the Forum, you will need to Register.  Click on the
    linked word Register.
  5. You will get the title golfstlseniors.freeforums.org Registration.  This
    is freeforums.org's legal stuff.  It's all standard.  Click on "I agree to
    these terms".
  6. You'll get the registration screen with fields to fill out.  Fill out the
    fields.  Choose a user name that includes your last name and your
    Metro Seniors member number.  (This will help us identify you as a
    member and get you activated faster.)  Fill in another field with your
    member number, too.  Complete the simple math problem and click
    on "Submit".
  7. The next page has "Board Index" on it (which provides the Forum
    Topics), another "Login" link, and information that your account has
    been created but is awaiting "activation" by the Forum Management,
    once they determine you are a Metro Seniors member.  Once we
    "activate" your Forum account, we will send you an email indicating
    you are activated.  You can then come back to http://golfstlseniors.
    freeforums.org and login with the User Name and Password that you
    created.  
  8. Again, clicking on the link "Board Index" gets you the Forum topics.  
    You will be identified as a Registered User and included in the counts
    at the bottom of the page as to how many Registered Users are in
    the Forum at that time.
  9. To learn how to use the Forum, we recommend that you view the
    "Visit Here First" topic, including both the Posting Guidelines and How
    to Post Correctly.  Additional help can be found by clicking on the
    FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) link found near the upper right
    portion of most pages.
  10. We are currently particularly interested in your views on the "Rules
    Discussion" section.  Please join in with your thoughts here.
  11. Make this Forum the communication vehicle that you want it to be!!!
